I started cosmetology school in the 80's when perms were very popular. When on into the 90's of working in hair salons. Found several years of maybe doing one perm a year. Now here we are in 2012 and I have been receiving many requests for loose curl perms. At first I was not so thrilled with the request for perms but now I am finding myself liking it. I am glad to see the loose curl fun styles that people are wanting.

I know in the past, I have blogged about hair chalking. This seemed to bring many comments and questions. So I found a picture of what hair chalking looks like. This technique is done with chalk and it shampoos out the next day. So what a fun way to add some funky colors just for the night out on the town.

The most common side swept hair-band hair. You have to embellish freely or
near, the parties may either clip. This is the best hair wavy hair and a messy
updo hairstylesStraight bright side you can also reflect and shine to hair.
However, there is a pony tail and part of the fashion train. They are suitable
for all hair types. The straight hair or a ponytail You have to get out of the
waves can be empty. French twist hairstyle with side or point explosion at the
same time gives the impression of a brave and creative. |

The year marks the true start of a new decade, and yet 2012′s
fashion trendsare all about revival. True, there is a unique undertone of a
modernist style appearing, but take some of the most iconic styles of the 20th
century, infuse them with quality, and you’ll find the basis for the dominant
styles of 2012. The year’s hair trends are no different. For fashionisers in 2012, hair is
all about revivals and evolution. With styles and colours we’re seeing the best
of 2011 reborn, whereas cuts are offering reworked and luxurious revivals of
styles that sit perfectly with the year’s clothing trends. |

1 - Wash it.In this modern world, most women have absolutely no idea how to wash their hair in a way that is nourishing. The trick is to use a good shampoo . Massage the shampoo onto the roots of your hair and scalp, and let it cleanse the rest of your hair as it rinses out. Only ever apply conditioner to the midlengths and ends of your hair, as the roots don't need it. Make sure to rinse off the products thoroughly - or even the best of shine-enhancing shampoos and conditioners will leave your hair looking dull. |

Just got the news that Whitney Houston died at a very young age. This is very sad news, many of us grew up listening to her music. Because I am a hairstylist and I also have curly hair, I followed some of her looks. So I thought why not blog about her hair. She has the fun and loving hair. I have been a hair designer for over 20years and that straight look has been a big hit for awhile now. But I would really like to see some of the natural curls coming back in style. I love that fun flirty look. |

Whoa! Waves Would Brigitte Bardot, Farrah Fawcett and Jessica Simpson have become household names without ‘em? We think not. “Women can’t get enough of waves—you see them year after year,” says shoot hair pro Thomas McKiver of the NYC metro area’s Bond Academy. The now approach: Make them touchable, not hairsprayed stiff.
