I have several clients that was upset with me because I could not get them in the day they called or even that week. My nights and Saturday times fill up 2 to 3 weeks ahead. I have hired a part time assistant to help me, so I can get more clients in. So please just try to book your times in advanced. I am very thankful to have this problem but I dont want to loose any of my clients because of this :0) |

Saturday was a busy day at the salon. Client Darlene came in for her regular color service and she was able to meet Heather Addington- the new salon assistant. Heather was alot of help today. When the salon day is packed busy with hair color and haircuts it is hard for me to answer the phone |

Hair by Gayla Salon is located inside Salon suites on Towne Lake pkwy in Woodstock Ga. This week has been a very busy week at the slaon. New color client today, we did highlights and low lights with a inverted swing bob haircut. |

Chalking Another New TrendAnother trend is chalking, which is done with the same type of chalk the children use on sidewalks. The advantage of using chalk is that it washes right out. If you are going out for an evening you can choose any color of chalk and streak the ends of your hair or apply long streaks, color your bangs and let your imagination be your guide. Of course, you don't want to get caught in the rain or the color will be running down your clothing.The procedure for using chalk on your hair ir:Fill a bowl with 1 1/4 full of warm water. |

I have been a hair designer for over 20 yrs now and I am finally living my dream. My dream has always been to have my own salon. This way I work all the hours I want and use the products that I love. This October the salon will be open 2 years and I cant be more pleased. My days are filled with haircuts and hair color. Three to six new clients a week. I love when the salon phone rings and I can say Thank you for calling Hair by Gayla salon and someone is wanting a haircut or hair color. |
